Welcoming the New Buddha Statue and Sacred Bo Plant
A Sacred Milestone for PEI Buddhist Meditation Centre – New Buddha Statue, Bodhi Tree & Relics Arrive On May 19, 2025, the PEI Buddhist Meditation Centre marked a spiritual milestone by receiving a new Buddha statue, Bodhi Tree sapling, Pirivena books, and a sacred relic casket for the newly established temple premises. The initiative was led by Venerable Badagiriya Sirinanda Thero and Venerable Dikwele Sudhamma Thero, who envisioned a peaceful and spiritual space for the people of PEI. The revered offerings were gifted by Venerable Walasmulle Sirisumana Thero, Venerable Omare Nandaloka Thero, and Venerable Maithi Thero, who extended their generosity to support this spiritual endeavor. We also extend heartfelt gratitude to the team who traveled 1,340 km to accompany and deliver these sacred items, as well as to all the devotees in PEI who have consistently supported this initiative—checking on needs, offering donations, and keeping the flame of Dhamma alive.
